Why We Built This Site
Tennessee provides several public access routes, yet no single office holds the whole record. Cheatham County law-enforcement material starts with the sheriff or a city police department. The Circuit Court Clerk maintains General Sessions and Circuit case files. TBI operates the statewide repository and TORIS, while TDOC and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry answer different custody, supervision, and registration questions. We bring those distinct channels together without treating them as one database.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: the official Cheatham County sheriff, jail, clerk, and Tennessee state channels
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are located and interpreted in Cheatham County
- Official check details: the difference between TBI name searches and authorized fingerprint checks
- Record cleanup routes: where Tennessee expungement begins and which offices process an order
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not a Tennessee court, law-enforcement office, or state agency. Those boundaries mean:
- We do not issue certified court papers, rap sheets, or agency reports
- We cannot submit a public-record request or expungement filing for a visitor
- We do not run official criminal-history checks for anyone
- We cannot apply Tennessee law to a particular charge, warrant, or case
- We cannot promise that an official fee, address, or phone number has not changed
An official copy must come from the Cheatham County custodian, the court clerk, TBI, or another agency that created and maintains the record.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes shown on some pages. Their services, prices, and results are controlled by those providers. A paid signup reached through a search tool may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not set the provider's charge or determine the contents of its results.
